Ho Chi Minh: Park Hyatt Saigon, one of the best hotels in Saigon!
For my wife’s birthday, I decided to fly her to Ho Chi Minh to celebrate and we wanted to stay one night at a luxurious hotel to pamper ourselves. Park Hyatt Saigon came highly recommended by friends as one of the most beautiful hotels in South East Asia and also by various websites and blogs.
Park Hyatt Saigon is strategically located within one minute the top iconic landmarks of Ho Chi Minh such as the Opera House, Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica, Reunification Palace and the hipster Cafe Apartment, while also walking distance to other popular spots like Saigon Post Office and Ben Thanh Market. The Vincom Shopping Centre is just right next to it while the popular Saigon Centre is also walkable – making Park Hyatt Saigon a convenient base to explore Ho Chi Minh District 1. (The Tablet is actually from the hotel room and offers useful information, facilities and services the hotel has to offer)
Checking in was flawless and the staff was very friendly, escorting us to our room at the fifth floor – we stayed at their King Room with a view of the garden and swimming pool.
I have to say – even their room key cards are a beautiful reflection of Vietnamese culture ~~
The room gives off an European vibe to it ~ with a touch of class with paintings and beautifully places trinkets ~
The windows let in natural light to give you a sun kissed feeling ~~ quite romantic ~~
This is the view from our window ~~ a good look of their pool and garden ~
The worktable is comfortable and is perfect for you to catch up with some important work, or even just read a book ~~
I always love it when they provide a nespresso machine which is easy to operate and minimum mess! They also have a gorgeous tea set for you to make tea ~ ~
The coffee capsules and tea are free ~~ and I notice a lovely Park Hyatt Saigon Paper Cup and Sleeves ~
Widescreen TV is always a welcoming sight especially when you are cuddled up in bed ~~
BOSE speakers for you to connect via your phone to play your favourite tunes to liven up the mood ~~~ or play your zen songs while you do yoga or meditation in the room ~~
Our cousin, Cindy from Melbourne, surprised us with champagne! A lovely gesture for my wife’s birthday ~~
Happy Wife Happy Life ~~~
I haven’t had much good sleep for some time but the bed at Park Saigon Hyatt gave me one of the best sleeps in a while. Very comfortable and I actually overslept, nearly missing the yummy breakfast at Opera!
My wife was happy to see that the toilet is separated away from the bath tub and shower ~~ so I can do my regular business while she can shower in peace at the same time ~~ LOL
I like the extra seating at the shower as you can either put your phone there while you’re in the bath tub, and it’s good for people who are older to sit there while washing their hair.
The toiletries are from the Saigon established Cochine, specializing in fragrances – aahhhh smells good!
The towels are really thick and good quality ~~ conveniently placed just outside the shower – you can also see their safe deposit box and laundry bags in this cupboard. They also have complimentary shoe shining as part of their services ~~ The cupboard is also convenient for you to just walk out of the shower – dry up – and take your clothes from it – as doors open from opposite sides – from the walkway of the room to the bathroom.
Spacious ~~ beautifully designed for style and comfort ~~
The gym facilities are top notch – and they even provide you with headphones so you can plug in to your phone and play your music or watch any video on youtube using their fast complimentary WIFI ~~
Their swimming pool is very exclusive as only hotel guests with key cards can access it ~~ unlike some other hotels where random visitors can just walk in and out of the pool and garden area.
Ahhh ~~ seems like a great time to sit by the pool and order some cocktails ~~~ read a book or plunge for a quick swim ~~
It was raining heavily in Saigon during my wife’s birthday but we didn’t really miss much as we were busy enjoying ourselves with the hotel facilities and restaurants.
The hotel breakfast at Opera was one of the best hotel breakfast I’ve had in South East Asia. A very good experience! Read more about it here ~~~
You should also try out their French Vietnamese restaurant Square One – which has an excellent dinner menu and be sure to check out their Saturday Brunch Special! Click here to have a look at Square One
We really enjoyed our stay at Park Hyatt Saigon and would love to come back again in future. A very memorable stay for my wife’s birthday!
