Brunei Restaurants: Secret Recipe opens new branch in Gadong Centrepoint

Secret Recipe Brunei recently opened its doors at their latest branch, located at Centrepoint Complex. The new design of this new location gives the feel of artisan cafes.

Besides their already delicious array of signature cakes, they've also joined in with quality coffees with brand new coffee machines and quality coffee beans.

Good coffee to match the cakes at Secret Recipe! Be sure to take advantage of their tea time special where you get a free cup of coffee or tea for every slice of cake over $4.90!

To mark this special occasion, Secret Recipe will be launching a brand new dish in the form of Shinjuku Bake. This lightly buttered soft cake is available with 4 different types of sauces (Nutella, Chocolate, Maple, Caramel) and comes complete with 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream and a dollop of whipped cream on the side. It's priced at $6.90 each.

I have to say I really enjoyed the crispy baked outer layer of the baked butter cake and the soft spongy inside of this Shinjuku Bake! The Nutella and the ice cream go well together and I finished the whole thing within minutes ~~~ while sipping with my good cup of Americano! I can easily eat two of the Shinjuku Bake ~~ nom nom ~~

I also took the opportunity to enjoy some of their signature savoury dishes ~~ like their beef noodles ~~ with brisket and tripe ~ mmmm ~~ you gotta love that blended chili too!

Their Singapore Style Hokkien Noodles are very delicious as well - so if you want to have something savoury before enjoying the cakes - you can't go wrong with this one!

By the way ~ Secret Recipe currently has their pasta promotion - for only $8.90 - you can your choice of pasta + cornish pastry + iced lemon tea! Super bargain!
