Brunei Hidden Gems: Laksam Kelantan and Laksa Johor place in Brunei!

The last time I had some Laksam Kelantan was when I visited Kelantan itself! Laksam has a strong Thai influence as Kelantan is near the Thai border. We have a coconut milk broth/gravy flavoured usually with fish, and enjoyed with these rolled up rice noodles.

Laksam noodles usually look like these before they are sliced ~~~

The beauty of social media with thanks to @foodasmywitness shared this lovely place just right before Mata Mata traffic light that serves not only Laksam Kelantan ~~ they also serve Laksa Johor, Laksa Penang and Nasi Kerabu (though the lady who makes it is currently on holiday -- I'll have to come back and take more pictures of the nasi kerabu!)

*drools* I ordered two bowls for myself to taste and will definitely come back for the nasi kerabu kelantan in future!

So have a lookout for Ummi Alya Enterprise (just right before Mata Mata traffic light) and enjoy some good Laksam! Their opening hours are usually from 1 or 2pm onwards till 10pm according to the staff I spoke to.
