Kuo Man Restaurant - Kota Kinabalu Food Guide For Tourists – walking distance from Centrepoint
Kuo Man Restaurant’s original branch is located at Jalan Tuaran and is famous as a popular noodle house for the past 40 years. Usually – tourists would need to take a taxi or seek help from local friends to try out their delicious noodles. Kuo Man recently opened a new branch in Warisan square which makes it easy for tourists staying around Imperial Boutech Hotel, Warisan Square, Centrepoint, Suria Sabah or Gaya Street areas! For me who usually stay at Imperial – it’s just downstairs!

Approved by famous food celebrity Axian – Kuo Man is highly rated by the locals as one of the best noodle houses in KK.
This is the picture taken from Kuo Man’s facebook fan page. They’ve really started to go the franchise route and already have a branch in Bedok Singapore. I wouldn’t be surprised if they open a branch in Brunei soon just like Kah Hiong Ngau Chap (wishful thinking)
I just happened to walk past their Warisan Square newly opened branch and decided to have a look. They are actually featured on Axian and also on Cuti Cuti 1 Malaysia from 8tv.
I ordered their Niu Muo Wang Ngau chap noodles – which is a play on the legendary Bull King Monster in the Journey to the West fairy tales. Basically it’s a mix of the delicious beef parts including my favourite beef tendon – tossed with their home made noodles. Delicious!
Ooooh yess ~~ so good ~~~ I have to zoom into that tendon!
They are also famous for their Yee Wat (delicious fish paste shaped into balls and poached in broth) served with their noodles. Slurpy goodness!
