Catholics angered at Chocolate Jesus

A New York gallery has angered a US Catholic group with its decision to exhibit a milk chocolate sculpture of Jesus Christ.

I can't believe that people can get so worked up over a chocolate sculpture. How sensitive can you get? I am sure the sculptor never meant any harm, he was just being a sculptor and I bet he worked damn hard to make that statue and very proud of it, only to be faced with a group of overly sensitive narrow minded catholics.

Catholic League head Bill Donohue called it "one of the worst assaults on Christian sensibilities ever".

That was probably THE MOST OVERATED statement of all time. Worst assaults? A chocolate sculpture? You gotta be kidding me! I am sure there are many other greater evils. Pfftt - -

Its ONE of the worst.Kinda like the ones they did to the prohet mohammad cartoon character dont you think?.

  2. Well, it does look a bit odd ;Jesus WITHOUT the loin cloth. But on the other hand, why get so worked up on it? Its art! IT IS SUPPOSE TO PROVOKE IDEAS! Look at some art done with dead human, entitled Bodies, they used dead Chinese prisoners or some sort to "creat" these so called sulptures! And yet they called this exhibition an education towards the human anatonmy!

Americans pride themselevs with FREEDOM OF SPEACH/ART. So where's the so called "freedom" they deemed to sing about to others in this prostest/boycott? Pure irony isn't it?
